Day 40

So we've made it to Esmond, a small town with a population of only about 150 people. Great ride today, the weather has been holding up well and the routes we've been taking have been really scenic. Our first stop of the day was in a town called Towner, nestled along highway 2. We grabbed a bite to eat then continued our ride to Rugby, which happens to be the geographic center of North America. We took a ginyu picture in front of the monument where Hanks mom did the same when she did the ride 25 years ago. well not a ginyu picture. Grabbing lunch at a nearby diner Bill caught up to us once again. But this time unfortunately it would be the last as they would be going a different route than us. After lunch we headed to the nearest grocery store to buy food for dinner, our sophisticated tongues were craving something out of ordinary...macaroni and cheese with hot dog chunks. We had to show the Englishman what good American food is. Finally making it to esmond we arrived to what supposedly was our campsite, literally a baseball field with overgrown grass surrounding the sand right along the main highway. Thinking this couldn't be the campsite. Donald and Hank decided to ride further into the town and scout the area out. Upon further inspection they found a city park where you can camp for free. Funny enough it had all accommodations including a bathroom, shower and even shelter if the weather got bad. The town itself once again only held a small local bar for food, a nightly ritual we have become very accustomed to.
